What an IT support specialist owns, day to day.
Accounts and access
New hires ready on day one, leavers removed the same day, in Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace.
Devices
Laptops enrolled and managed remotely with Intune or Jamf, updates and encryption on.
Email that arrives
MX, SPF, DKIM and DMARC set right, plus shared mailboxes, groups and aliases.
Security basics
MFA for everyone, a password manager, conditional access, phishing reports handled.
Everyday tickets
Sign-in problems, Wi-Fi, video calls, software installs, answered on your hours.
Written fixes
Every closed ticket written so the next person understands it.
How we test an IT support specialist.
A take-home test on Microsoft 365 + Entra ID + Intune: about 2.5 hours of work, graded by an engineer. Run on Google Workspace instead when that’s what your team uses.
Part 1
Real Microsoft 365 tickets
A user who stopped receiving outside email, a shared mailbox for sales, a new laptop enrolled in Intune.
What passes Checked MX, SPF, DKIM and DMARC before touching the mailbox.
Part 2
Access for a new hire, then remove it
A contractor joins Monday and leaves in 90 days. The onboarding and offboarding checklists, in Entra ID and Microsoft 365.
What passes Least privilege, every step written down.
Part 3
Write the closed ticket
The resolution of one ticket, written so someone else understands it without asking.
What passes The cause, the fix and how to check it, in plain English.
Then, live
An interview with an engineer
They walk us through their work. And one change, made live: a new ticket, solved live while they explain each step.

What a remote IT person can’t do
Almost everything in a modern small office is handled remotely: accounts, email, laptops enrolled in device management, software, security settings and the calls with your vendors.
What still needs hands on site: cables, a broken screen, a printer or router installed for the first time. For those, a local technician for the visit, guided by your IT person, is often enough.
Compared with a managed service provider: an MSP is a ticket queue shared with many clients. A dedicated person knows your people and your setup, and is in your Slack during your hours.
$3,500 a month. Salary included.
No placement fee, and nothing to pay until their first day. If they aren’t the right fit, we replace them at no cost, with a full handover.

Questions
Something else? Ask us on a call
Do they need to be on site?
No. They work remotely on your hours. For cables, broken hardware or a first-time printer install, you’ll need someone local for a visit, and your IT person can guide them.
Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace?
Either. The test runs on the one you use, with the must-haves from your hiring plan.
Is this a managed service provider?
No. It’s one dedicated person on your team, full-time, not a shared help desk. They work in your accounts, and everything they set up stays yours.
